About this Course

Learn about the art of broom-making in this crafting workshop with Amy Lou Taylor, Broomsquire and Owner of TAoTaT’s Mystic Tea & Brooms. Your visit starts in Dundurn’s Historic Kitchen Garden to see the process of material preparing. Learn the basics of broom making through with a hand-broom lesson, create a set of kitchen tools and showcase your new skills by creating and decorating a triple-style hand broom. Adorn your hand-broom with the addition of dried flowers from Dundurn’s Kitchen Garden. Each participant will take home 3 handmade tools. Workshop fee includes all needed supplies. NOTE: Broom-making is a physical endeavor, please wear close-toed shoes and comfortable clothes.
